Let’s be honest about anger

 

Anger is difficult and hurtful.  It is the opposite of love.  And being angry with loved ones is exactly the opposite to what most of us aspire.

Sometimes our reactions get entrenched and we can't seem to break out of the pattern that repeats itself over and over again.

We feel tense, out-of-control, rageful and then shame and guilt ensue. 

But it's also counter-productive to feel guilt and shame around having been angry.  I want you to drop the guilt and shame and give yourself practical practices instead.  

Things won't change overnight, nothing ever does.  And effort is required, but this change is possible. 

I AM NO STRANGER TO ANGER

I might even say there are worse things than anger.  I used to think I had a demon inside me who would sometimes break free and wreak havoc in my life.  Maybe I did.

Eventually we are called to look our demons in the eyes.  So I tried a few things, I practiced, I managed tendencies and I found acceptance.  And I continue to this day to aim deeper.

I can honestly say, there is a way out.  Once you start to see the changes, you can take it as far as you like.

I am loved for who I am, regardless of my faults.

I will do better.
